History of the space

Completed in 1821 as the Louisiana State Bank, Latrobe's is named after its Architect: Benjamin Henry Latrobe. Also known as the "Father of American Architecture, his contributions include: the US Capital, the Porticos of the White House, and the Baltimore Basilica, as well as the development of the Waterworks System of the United States in an effort to combat Yellow Fever. Signature elements such as the whisper dome, the Bank Vault and original stonework now provide a rich backdrop for glamorous events and celebrations and create the calling card for this National Landmark.

    With over 22 years of experience as the owner of Latrobe's on Royal, a historic and elegant National Landmark in New Orleans, I have developed and executed successful strategies for new business development, marketing, and online advertising. I have partnered with various clients, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver memorable and customized events, ranging from weddings and corporate meetings to social gatherings and fundraisers. I have also leveraged my online presence and network to attract and retain a diverse and loyal customer base, as well as to promote the unique features and benefits of our historic location & catering buisness. My mission is to provide exceptional service and quality to every client, while preserving and enhancing the historic and cultural value of Latrobe's on Royal. I am passionate about creating and hosting events that reflect the personality, vision, and goals of each client, and that showcase the beauty and charm of New Orleans. I am always looking for new opportunities and challenges to grow and improve my business, as well as to contribute to the local community and industry.
